Justin Kurzel made his debut with Snowtown (2011), for which he won the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Audience Award for Best Director. Recently, he directed the documentary Ellis Park (2024) and episodes of the series Black Rabbit. Upcoming projects include the mini-series The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Among Kurzel’s other notable works are Macbeth (2015), which was presented at the Festival de Cannes; Assassin’s Creed (2016); True History of the Kelly Gang (2019), which was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival; and Nitram (2021), which won several AACTA awards. His most recent film, The Order (2024), starring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult, screened in the Official Competition at the Venice International Film Festival.
