Omar Hilal is a multi-award-winning and seasoned commercial director with a background in writing. He wrote for agencies for five years before embarking on a twenty-year career in directing adverts with his intelligent sense of humour, grand cinematic execution, powerful characters, and great casting. Hilal has received Grand Prix and Gold Awards from various awards shows, including the Cannes Lions, LIA, Dubai Lynx, Kinsale, Sharks, Creative Circle Asia, Euro Critals, and African Cristals. Voy! Voy! Voy! (2023) is his first feature-length film.
In 2013 in Egypt, Hassan dreams of fleeing the country. An opportunity comes when he encounters a blind football team set to compete at the World Cup Championship in Europe. So, Hassan is united with this group of young men who go to great lengths to make their dream come true. This story is inspired by real-life events.
