Biographie

Marina Foïs became a fixture of the French comedy scene during the 2000s with films
including Don’t Die Too Hard!, Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cleopatra and Tell Me I’m Pretty. In
2003, she was nominated for the César Award for Best New Actress for Hypnotised and
Hysterical (Hairstylist Wanted).

In 2007, she turned to drama in Darling, for which she was a
nominee for the César for Best Actress. She was nominated for the same award for her role
in Polisse. Foïs went on to become a key performer in French cinema, with roles in the Papa
ou Maman films and Sink or Swim. She has since been seen in the political series Savages,
the controversial film Enormous, in Official Competition at the Festival de Cannes in The
Divide and in the bloody comedy Some Like It Rare. Most recently, she is seen in Change of
Heart, Freestyle, Year of the Shark, The Beasts and The Sitting Duck.
