Yannis Dimolitsas is a Greek film director. He has helmed numerous campaigns for brands including Mercedes, Yves Saint Laurent, IWC, Coca-Cola, among others. In addition to his commercial work, he has also crafted art films and curated music videos that have been presented at festivals and museums worldwide. In 2021, Dimolitsas completed the short film The Music Critic, starring John Malkovich, in collaboration with NOWNESS.
An invaluable exploration of the life and legacy of iconic diva Maria Callas, portrayed by Monica Bellucci. Through intimate memoirs, letters, and rare footage, we journey into Callas’s world—from her modest beginnings in New York City to her triumphs on the global stage. This film captures two distinct eras: the period when Callas rose to the heights of fame, and today, when her voice continues to resonate. At its heart, this is a dialogue between two women—Callas and Bellucci—who, despite their differing backgrounds, share a profound dedication to their art. This encounter bridges past and present, revealing the human spirit behind the legend and honoring an artist who transformed her pain into timeless beauty.
