Jihane El Bahhar was born in Casablanca. In 2007, she directed her first short film, Shift+Supp, which won awards at several national and international film festivals, including the Best Screenplay Award at the 8th Beirut International Film Festival. Following this, El Bahhar directed the short The Last Chapter (2008), which confirmed her talent. The Lost Soul (2009) won the Critics’ Award and Best Screenplay Award at the Tangier National Film Festival.. In 2017, El Bahhar directed her first feature-length film, In Wonderland. Triple A (2023) is her second feature.
